I tried many of the best modern art museums in the world. They brought nothing to me but disappointment. Every time leaving these places I was thinking is it me or this art really sucks and nobody has guts to say it out loud? Last attempt to appreciate a museum happened in the famous Guggenheim Museum of Bilbao. No comments. I felt like an idiot who believed PR-strategy of this place. The best objects are located outside. You end up paying for the bullshit hidden inside.
I got this feeling right after visiting some regional BM events in Europe. They showed me the art I can play with. The art that is smart and funny. The art that gives that precious “What’s the f*ck?” moment. If you break the art object at Burning Man it’s artist’s fault not yours. All the art pieces have to be “playa proved”.
Burning Man, I love you! Thanks for introducing me to the world of real art, to Da Vincis and Michelangelos of our days. Thank you from my heart! I see more clear now.
